Version 2.01 in the App Store

Today we are releasing version 2.01 of B.E.L.L.A. in the Apple App Store. A lot has been added since the big 2.0 release in August – and much has become more stable.

New in 2.01

  • Load/rest balance: the fitness tab in the horse profile shows how training and recovery relate and recommends what to do on your next ride. There is also a new “1 week” time range.
  • Horse status: mark horses as active, in rehab, on a break or no longer active. Only active horses can be picked for new activities.
  • Energy per gait: energy use now also shows the share of your horse’s daily requirement, including the average of recent rides and the trend.
  • Adaptive plan guidance: in plan mode, exercises change at the arena letters, guidance adapts to your ride and also monitors rein-back.
  • Backups: the new database management exports and imports a complete backup including photos.
  • Import activities: single rides or whole exports can be imported again – including exports from the Android app.

Improvements and bug fixes

  • GPS outliers are discarded during the ride and removed from saved rides – distance and speed are more accurate as a result.
  • Duplicate GPS positions are no longer created; existing ones can be cleaned up via database maintenance.
  • Straightening is now counted only once per change of rein.
  • Maps stay smooth even on long rides.
  • Crashes when finishing an activity and when saving the profile in the setup assistant have been fixed.
  • Turning on Apple Health now asks for access right away.

The update is available now in the App Store. If you run into problems, please report them via Apple’s Feedback Assistant or through our support page. You can also send an email directly to gitlab-incoming+ns1045-bella-2-issue-@boeckel-art.de.
